Puppy Class
Get your new family member started out on the right ‘paw’ with a Puppy Class that encourages good behavior, while at the same time, helping you and your puppy establish a strong bond. The class is designed for puppy’s ages 12 weeks to 5 months. The course length is eight (8) weeks, and upon completion of the class, a certificate is awarded.
This class will cover:
- Introduction to simple cues (commands) such as sit, down, come and stay
- Basic manners for home and away
- The all important ‘socialization’
(dogs and people)
- Name recognition
- How to identify bad habits before they start
- Basic tricks
- Discussion each week covering different topics such as grooming and nutrition

Basic Class
The Basic Class is tailored for puppy’s over five (5) months of age and adult dogs who have had no previous training. The class is eight (8) weeks in length, and upon completion of the class, a certificate is awarded.
This class will cover:
- Introduction to simple cues (commands) such as sit, down, come and stay
- Heeling on a leash
- Basic manners for home and away
- The all important ‘socialization’ (dogs and people)
- How to identify bad habits before they start
- Start on basic tricks
- Discussion each week covering different topics such as grooming and nutrition
- Basic classes will occasionally be held outside the classroom so the dog can learn with distractions present
Intermediate Class
The Intermediate Class reinforces and builds upon the cues learned in the Basic Class. Our goal is to teach you and your dog how to perfect the techniques previously learned as well as expand ‘your’ training knowledge and improve the relationship you have with your dog. Class length is eight (8) weeks. Upon completion, a certificate is awarded.
PREREQUISITE: A basic obedience course.
This class will cover:
- Reinforcement of the basic cues sit, down, stay and come while working with distractions
- Introduce working with long lines
- Reinforce heeling
- Expand your knowledge of how to teach tricks
- Discuss many of the common misconceptions during training
